They are not really competing products. One is physical impact protection; the other is surface and chemical protection. The best result for most Teslas uses both, in the right places.
PPF is physical impact protection — it stops stone chips and scratches. Graphene coating is surface and chemical protection — contamination resistance, water behaviour, gloss and far easier cleaning. They solve different problems, and for most Teslas the right answer combines them.
Paint protection film (PPF) is a thick, self-healing film that absorbs impact. It is what stops a stone becoming a chip, and it shields against scratches, road rash and everyday wear while staying virtually invisible.
Graphene coating is a thin, hard chemical layer bonded to the paint (or over the film). It does not stop stones — it makes the surface slicker and more chemical-resistant, dramatically improves water behaviour and gloss, and makes the car much easier to keep clean. We install NXTZEN graphene, Australian-designed and made for our climate.
Put simply: PPF protects against the road; coating protects against the environment and makes the car easier to live with. A coating cannot stop a physical stone chip — only film can.

Our most requested combination is a full front PPF paired with full-vehicle graphene — impact protection where the car gets hit, and coating everywhere for the finish and easy care.
Owners often buy a coating expecting it to stop chips, then are disappointed the first time a stone finds the paint. A coating is excellent at what it does — it simply is not armour. Match the product to the problem and you get the best of both.
