Melbourne’s Tesla protection specialists
Lucky Five Motorsport is a dedicated Tesla specialist — not a general detailer that also takes on Teslas. Our founder, Michael Loverso, is Tesla-trained and accredited, and that expertise is the technical foundation the entire workshop is built on. The installation methods, quality standards and technical knowledge we apply to every Tesla come directly from it — so you get the same specialist standard whichever of our team works on your car.
A genuine Tesla specialist
Not a general detailer that also does Teslas. Lucky Five is a dedicated Tesla workshop, focused on the platform and the technology beneath the paint.
Built on Tesla-trained expertise
Our founder’s Tesla training and accreditation set the technical standard every installation is measured against.
One standard, every technician
Our methods and quality benchmarks are consistent across the team, so your result never depends on who’s on the tools.
Avery Dennison Global Platinum Partner
One of a select group of installers certified to fit Avery Dennison’s premium film, backed by warranties up to 12 years.
As an Avery Dennison Global Platinum Partner, we install their paint protection film — backed by 91 years of adhesive and film science — in clear, satin and full colour. It is self-healing, virtually invisible, and shields your Tesla's paint from stone chips, road rash and the elements, with warranties up to 12 years.
Self-healing
Light scratches and swirls vanish with heat from the sun or warm water.
Virtually invisible
Protection you feel but can't see — your Tesla's finish, untouched.
Stone-chip defence
Absorbs the impacts that chip and scar unprotected paint.
Up to 12-year warranty
Ultima 7-year and Xtreme Supreme 12-year options.
Your Tesla drives itself. That changes who should touch it.
Full Self-Driving relies on a precise array of cameras and sensors. Fitting PPF to a Tesla means carefully removing and refitting panels, mirrors and trim — directly around those camera systems. In an era where the car is genuinely driving itself, letting unqualified, untrained hands disassemble and reassemble around the very cameras that steer, brake and navigate should be unthinkable.
Every L5 install is carried out by our Tesla Specialist Team — led by Michael Loverso, trained and accredited by Tesla. Panels, mirrors and trim are carefully disassembled and reassembled back to factory OEM specification — the way it should be, with no damage, and camera systems checked and recalibrated on completion.
With Michael’s Tesla accreditation, we also have access to Tesla genuine parts and accessories, so anything that needs replacing is replaced correctly — not bodged. Given our experience, qualifications and training, our team genuinely understands both the paint and the technology beneath it.
No damage. No shortcuts. No compromise to the systems keeping you safe.
Both are premium Avery Dennison paint protection films with a self-healing, hydrophobic top coat — installed by an Avery Dennison Global Platinum Partner. The difference is warranty length and finish choice.

Hey guys, Mick from Lucky Five Motorsport. There are so many businesses out there describing themselves as a Tesla specialist — and it got me thinking: what actually makes a Tesla specialist?
A Tesla specialist is someone who knows the car inside and out — with technicians who are trained and accredited by Tesla to dismantle and work on these cars. If you're going to pull something apart, like a side camera or a rear camera, those cameras need to be recalibrated. To do that properly you need to be trained, you need all the equipment, and you need the software systems to talk to these cars.
A lot of shops out there aren't doing that — and that's the difference with us. Our technicians are trained and accredited by Tesla, we know how to do it, and we have the equipment to do it. Knowing that your car is being put back together correctly and safely is the most important thing — and that's what makes a Tesla specialist.
Your film is engineered to be low-maintenance — and your care starts with us. Here's everything you need to keep it flawless and protect your warranty.
The first two weeks — leave the washing to us
Please don't wash your Tesla for the first two weeks while the film fully bonds. There's no need to — your first wash is on us. Bring it back for your complimentary 2-week health check and we'll take care of it.
Your complimentary 2-week health check
This is care you won't get everywhere. About two weeks after installation, bring your Tesla back and we'll:
- Carry out the first wash for you — done properly, by hand.
- Inspect every edge, seam and panel now the film has fully cured.
- Make any small tweaks or adjustments so your PPF is flawless for the long haul.
Think of it as the final step of your installation — included, and part of the L5 standard.
How to wash (after your health check)
Once we've done your first wash, keep it simple: hand wash only with a pH-neutral automotive shampoo and a clean microfibre mitt, in the shade, and dry with a microfibre towel.
We recommend the NXTZEN Wash Kit — pH-neutral products designed to keep your film and coating performing at their best. Ask us and we'll set you up.
Drying
Always dry the car fully with clean microfibre towels. Don't let it air-dry — evaporating water leaves mineral spots that are difficult to remove later.
Bird droppings, sap & bugs
Remove contaminants promptly with a pH-neutral product and a soft microfibre cloth. Don't scrub or use abrasives. The film resists staining, but prompt removal keeps it perfect.
What to avoid
- Washing at all for the first two weeks — let us do the first wash
- Automatic car washes — both brush and touchless
- High-pressure water aimed at the film edges
- Abrasive, solvent or harsh chemical cleaners
- Waxing over the film edges
- Letting the car air-dry
Self-healing & long-term
Fine scratches and swirls in the top coat self-heal with warmth — from the sun or warm water. For anything more (an edge lift, an impact mark), don't pick at it — contact us and we'll assess it under your warranty.
